Tara Niploff has been with the Little Rock Derby Girls since day one, and Derby is her life. She's not only a great Jammer, but an awesome pivot and assistant coach. She puts in more time and effort than most, and was also picked by MADNESS as our Skater of the Year.

Why do you play roller derby? I play for the violence. I want to hit you, you want to hit me. YAY!!

How did you get your derby name? From a horrible breastfeeding accident when I was a baby. Yeah, it's like that.

What else, besides play, do you do for your league? I'm a board member, Interleague Liaison, WFTDA Compliance, and I get our shit together for USARS.

Do you have a derby wife, if so who? I'm proud to be the wife of the hard-hitting Daisy Fever #13! She will KEEEELLLLL you!

The LITTLE ROCK DERBY GIRLS are Little Rock's Original Roller Derby League. LRDG was formed in May 2007 by an all female group of athletes. We are a non-profit organization, so proceeds from benefits and sporting events go towards financing league operations & donations to local charities.

We have been in Little Rock since day one representing our Capitol city because Roller Derby belongs in Little Rock and we were willing to make it happen. We strive to foster competition and sportsmanship between ALL Roller Derby Leagues.

Starting June 12, 2008 you will be able to watch Roller Derby in Little Rock on a regular basis. We will also be hosting a number of recruitment camps, fundraisers, and charity events throughout 2008. Check out our schedule in the events section.
